"Subtle Intimacy"

What I Like About This: This undeniably homoerotic depiction of a black male couple in an intimate setting belies the myth that Africans and other people of color are not as equally likely to be same gender loving as people of any other ethnicities. In my own life and experiences of love, I can confirm that despite taboos inspired by colonial mores, men from Africa are also homosexual and often still must hide the truth of their innate sexual orientation. A particular feature of interest in this work is the face in the shadows outside the window peering in, which I interpret as representing "African society's" intrusion into and disapproval of the private intimate lives of her same gender loving sons.
For Billy, if he want it.
