What I Like About This: Vintage gay pornography set at Christmas from 1950 - 1960s. Interestingly, Christmas themed pornography is still a popular genre. But these images likely published after the landmark 1958 Supreme Court decision severely narrowing the interpretation of "obscenity" opening the door for gay themed magazines and other publications certainly proves that "we were always there."

What I Like About This: This incredible and moving image of love, affection and fatherhood from the early 1980s was captured by the photographer while on assignment from Life Magazine. Fears over backlash caused the magazine's editors to never run it, but that this image has endured is a testament to the truth that "we were always there."
