What I Like About This: It's funny, but as a child I asked "Santa" for an Etch-a-Sketch every year along with a Jaguar pedal car (see below), and as best I can remember, this and the Jaguar were the only things I ever asked for and didn't get. I now realize that by the time I knew I wanted the Jaguar, I was too old for it... it's clearly meant for a preschooler. Strangely enough though, I did get the Gulf gas pump shown below, but no car to pretend to fuel up. Interestingly, until just a few years ago, the 50 year old box the gas pump came in remained in my mother's hall closet holding the accessories to a vacuum cleaner that had gone to the landfill decades ago.
