What I Like About This: Here is another subject genre that I am enamoured with, that of the artist's self-portrait. Here, Venezuelan artist Angel Ramiro Sanchez captures his own image in a mirror with skill and aplomb, convincingly creating an image that appears as it would in the mirror which he includes in the frame. I like his use of back lighting in this work. And as always, I admire his use of minimalist detailing which leaves just enough wonder for the imagination to fill in.
