What I Like About This: This vintage photograph of a couple from the 1950s reveals not only that they were in love and had decided to make a life for themselves together, but also that they were not afraid or ashamed (despite the times they lived in) to declare their love for one another in this way. I also think about those who were trusted enough to take photos such as this for brave couples who knew that in the wrong hands such images could destroy lives, careers, hopes and dreams... Surely those who took these photos were friends who perhaps also aspired to the moments of love they captured through the lens of the camera.
