"We Were Always There..."

What I Like About This: A black gay couple in NYC photographed in their home (circa early 1980s). This couple courageously agreed to be included in a photo essay of the lives of NYC's gay community during the early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. They boldly displayed their love and affection in this intimate pose, a statement of defiance, pride and bravery.
