What I Like About This: A candid photograph of a gay couple in a blissful embrace sometime in the 1980s. Maybe they're a couple in a longtime relationship, or more likely, a couple who only just met in this "safe space" seeking a moment of freedom, intimacy and human connection in a time when we couldn't be free to be who we are... What became of them after this moment in their lives we cannot know, but we do know that "we were always there."
