What I Like About This: An excellent example of the depiction of the "everyday man," which is something that I find female artists are much better at rendering.  I imagine that women painting men, paint what they see, whereas I find male artists seem to struggle with not "idealizing" their male subjects. I find lots of interesting details to study in this work by Deborah Poynton, she includes the wrinkles and blemishes of middle age and even the asymmetry of the subject's face.
