What I Like About This: A gathering of gay friends for Thanksgiving Dinner, November 28th 1963. At the head of the table is the host Frank Bushong, seated next to him on the right, wearing glasses is Roger Pegram who was his partner throughout the 1950s and later remained a close friend. You can read more about them here and here and know that yes, "we were always there."
I was 8 that year, just after JFK was killed. Sad holiday.
