Join me in reading: Dr. King's "Letter from the Birmingham Jail"
Interested in learning more about MLK and why he merits a holiday?
Bayard Rustin (right) was an openly gay black man who as a friend and confidant
of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the chief architect and planner
of the 1963 March on Washington.
Did you know, Dr. King had a gay friend and close confidant that many credit with helping him to turn the tide in the civil rights movement with the 1963 March on Washington?
If you haven't seen "Rustin" on Netflix, you're missing your chance to learn about a courageous gay man who also helped change America. I enjoyed it immensely and think you will too.
