No matter how old you are, when you look at this fellow, he's instantly familiar to you... This is actor Robert Reed who portrayed "America's Favorite TV Dad," Mike Brady from 1968-79
What many still don't know, is that Reed was a gay man who kept his sexuality a secret (by necessity) right up until his death in 1992. The irony of having to hide his truth was not lost on his co-stars on the Brady Bunch who knew his secret, but also knew he wasn't able to discuss it. Like so many who both came became and after him, Reed wasn't able to let the world know who he was, but he reminds us that, "we were always there."
