"We Were Always There..."

What I Like About This: We can't know what happened next or even if any of these men were gay, but what I can say about this photo is that the sexual tension in this barracks is palpable... The shirtless chap eating a sandwich has a look in his eye that says he knows how this scene looks. The two fellas holding their crotches suggest that maybe the guy lying on his bunk is reading something arousing to the group. The fellow peaking into the frame from the next bunk has the look of, "Are you really gonna take a picture of this!" on his face. Now statistically, it's pretty likely that at least one of these six men (don't forget our photographer) might have been gay. I'll guess that at the least our photographer might be the one... and that just like you and I, he saw this scene for what it is, a very suggestive and homoerotic moment that I think offers further proof that, "we were always there."
