I refused to watch this for weeks after it premiered on Amazon. All the gif sets made me hopeful that it was well acted, faithful to the novel and thoughtfully directed, but so many gay themed films are not that I didn't want to risk disappointment. When I finally did watch it a couple of weeks ago, I was so surprised to find myself crying through most of it... It was literally the fairytale that I dreamed of as a boy; perfect in every way. If you've not seen it, well you should, it might renew your faith in the truth of love. One of the best imitations of life I've seen in years.
After seeing so many gifs or photos all over the gay internet sites, I'm not sure this movie will get all my attention. Sure it's a fairytale and maybe me too I'll be shreding some tears but not sure, again, it'll touch me more as when I viewed «Latter Days» which was more in phase with a kind of reality.
