"Remembering The Summer Garden..."

I don't think I'll soon forget what a spectacular shade of fuchsia these flowers were...

These are some views from the Summer Garden at home this year 

The summer garden was beautiful this year, but now as summer drifts into memory, we'll be planting fall bulbs soon. In a week or so we'll be busy pruning the roses and hydrangeas as they prepare for their long winter's sleep. Husband spends hours just sitting in the garden, I rarely can join him, I stay busy with work at my office desk.  Nevertheless, I enjoy looking out at the garden from the window as I sip my morning coffee and remember planting beds in a garden that the beloved one told me was for us on a summer now long ago and far away.
