I'm old enough to remember when this was called a "Summer Fruit"

Isn't it amazing how we now take for granted enjoying almost any fruit you desire at any time of the year...

I remember once explaining to my children how it was when I was a boy. How the season for most fruits lasted a couple of weeks and then they were gone until next summer. Now fruit travels the world, from one hemisphere to the other and advances in cold storage mean "summer fruits" are almost always around.

I then amazed them with my recollection of this advertising jingle that was so popular in my youth.

But none of this is what made me smile...
