Running through my mind right now...
It's funny, but just yesterday as I was doing chores around the house, I was reflecting on how the music I like is not from my own generation... Sometimes I feel like I was born late. I came of age at the dawn of the eighties, but I can hardly name any music or the artists of that decade and after. In fact, I was a 'strange' boy in the eyes of my siblings and parents, I liked easy listening, folk songs, and even light classical music (definitely an OGT). And then when I was about 10, I discovered Roger Whittaker and I obsessed over him the same way kids of today obsess over Taylor Swift. Then in my teens, my tastes expanded to include country, R&B, and light rock. Today, I can say I can find something I like in almost any genre. But if you were to look at my music collection (I'm old enough that it's physical media, records, tapes and CDs) you'd find very little (except Roger Whittaker) recorded after 1980. Interesting huh...?
