"I Am Always Remembering..."

This is a love song...

I can distinctly recall the first time I heard this song... it was being performed by its originators, The Bee Gees on the soundtrack of what would become my favorite film. That was a little over 42 years ago in the middle of the lonely night. The reason I can remember it so precisely is because as I listened to the lyrics, I realized I'd never been in love. But I also realized this song was describing what I hoped it felt like and this was the type of love I was hoping would someday come to my life. It would take 23 years from that day, but it did happen... this type of love came into my life bringing joy, pain and upheaval I'd never imagined. Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite covers of this song and as I listened to it this morning, I was remembering the beloved one and Love's journey thus far.

I am always remembering... and my greatest fear is that I may not live long enough to forget.
