Did we really need another mincing queen?

I actually couldn't decide whether to smile or be mad about this ad.  In the end, I found this ad to be rather offensive and demeaning of gay men by perpetuating the "gay stereotype" of the mincing queen.

This (supposedly) lighthearted and "inclusive" ad from Icelandic Glacial is intended to be reminiscent of the Diet Coke ads of the 1990.

Sometimes in advertising, they just don't get it... Gay men are just as diverse and everyone else.  I would have preferred a less "stereotypical" gay man who maybe just nods and smiles to his female colleagues at the end of the pan, but they didn't ask me...
