They walked, hand in hand, for a short time – during which they copped some anti-gay abuse.

They then went and confronted the people who’d reacted.

They did not have a great deal to say in response.

The truth is that this won't stop until we are brave enough to endure the first hateful stares and let people see that we love one another and that our love is the same as there's... Until we come out and be ourselves, people won't be able to accept that we are only just as human as they are...
