Today I'm remembering the last time I heard his voice . . . I was hurting and angry, and I almost didn't take his call. But when I did answer, just the sound of his voice melted my heart as it always had, and for just a moment the anger, pain and heartache was gone.
I'll never forget the last things he said to me,
"I'm going to make you proud of me."
I've often wondered, should I be?
Seventeen years have now passed,
and I still wonder about it.
"I am always remembering...
and my greatest fear is that I might not live long enough to forget."
"Fear Eats the Soul"
