Just as I have for the last 10 years, as I stirred from my slumber this morning, I thought of him. But this morning was a little different... I remembered the particular cruelty of his lies to me and of how they had pushed me to the edge of utter despair exactly 10 years ago today. Little did I know then on that terrible day that the fear of love could destroy 44 years of patient waiting and watching, hoping and praying, but it did. And such is the power of fear and the enduring nature of love and truth.
