Love is an immortal wound that cannot be closed up. A person loses something, a part of their soul, when one loves someone. And one goes about looking for that lost part of the soul, for they know that otherwise they are incomplete and cannot be at rest. It is only when one is with the person one loves that one becomes complete again; but the moment the beloved leaves, one loses that part which the beloved has taken and one knows no rest till one has found the beloved once more.
