"Reflections On Married Life..."

This is one of the ways I know my husband loves me...

This morning when I came down to get ready for work, this is what I found on our breakfast room table.  The flowers are beautiful (of course he arranged them) and the card is unbelieveable...  Edward is an incredible paper crafter and this year's Valentines card is another masterpiece of his art.

The inscription reads:

Our love is like
a good book

The more you read,
the more I
fall in love with you

The liner paper is made of scripture verses about love and he hand made all of the paper flowers and decorations.

This is what I got Edward, I bought the giant card at our local CVS and of course a heart shaped box of Russell Stover Chocolates.  It's not nearly as wonderful as what he did for me, but I hope it helps him know how much I love him.

I'll serve him breakfast in bed this morning and tonight we'll enjoy a most special Valentine's Day meal. We're going out for pizza and taking our two boys with us (they're too young to be home alone).

I have to say, that although it took far longer than I'd ever imagined it would, most of my dreams have come true... I have a loving husband, our children have arrived and we're enjoying a pleasant tide of life.  When I decided not to live in fear and to love myself as God has made me, I had no idea what might actually happen, but I believed in love and found out for myself that it's real.

To those who might be reading this alone tonight, I pray that you might also find happiness in the knowledge that you too can fulfill the precious desires of your heart if you open yourself up to the potential of love.

Yes, love is a risky business, you can be terribly hurt and wounded as you seek it out (as I was), but when you actually find it, the fullness of life will open itself before you.

"Yes, it does get better..."
