Kansas City Hospital Removes Husband From His Spouse's Bedside

This story got a lot of traction this week, but I haven't posted anything until now since I wanted to wait until both sides had their say.  Now that they have, let me say this... If they had been an opposite-sex couple, there is no way they'd have removed him from the room, the brother would've been asked to leave. Despite all the statements about how this is not discrimination, we all know better.  Further, the only "proof" the hospital would have asked for would have been the statement, "He's my husband!"

This is why the fight for equality continues...
