"The Funny Truth About Getting Older..."
No, I did not "let myself go..."
It actually happened without my consent.
A couple of weeks ago, Husband and I stopped into an IHOP for lunch, and the hostess led us to a booth in a newly remodeled section of the restaurant. The booth was so narrow that when I got in it, I couldn't breathe... the edge of the table was pressed right up against my diaphram, I had to ask to move to another section. I didn't feel so bad when I watched someone much younger and thinner than me have the same complaint. Then able to breathe, as I was looking at the menu, I turned to the last page where they had their "Values for Older Diners" and I realized I've been old enough to order from that page for years!
Damn, I really thought it would take a lot longer than it did to grow old...
