"The Death Of Common Sense..."

Obituary of Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

  • – Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
  • – Why the early bird gets the worm;
  • – Life isn’t always fair;
  • – Setting something aside for a rainy day;
  • – Learning from mistakes;
  • – Discerning lies from the truth;
  • – And caring about the well-being of your fellow man.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). He believed in science, not superstition.

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when his nation elected a lying con-man as its leader.  As other politicians became mere pawns of billionaire oligarchs, and the land he loved was raped of her natural resources and polluted beyond recovery, his condition only worsened.

Common Sense lost ground when he realized that even with both parents working full-time, families easily slipped out of the middle-class and fell into homelessness, debt and poverty as the bankers became richer while dining at the public trough of bailouts.

Common Sense lost the will to live as churches became businesses and convinced the sheeple to give what little they had left to the ravening wolves claiming to lead them and speak for God, even as deranged and lied-to maniacs armed with 2nd Amendment assault rifles committed mass murders in those same 'houses of worship'.

Common Sense took a beating when the Liar-In-Chief, ignored every warning from experts around the world that a pandemic was coming; that global warming was destroying the environment; and that disease and pestilence, and natural disasters would ensue, even as he told the people, "All is well, I'm in charge."

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after the experts finally got to speak and warned people to quarantine and isolate themselves to save the lives of themselves and their fellow citizens, but instead they went to the park and the beach and gathered in groups to party after panicking to buy $8 rolls of toilet paper.

Common Sense was preceded in death,

  • -by his parents, Truth and Trust,
  • -by his spouse, Discretion,
  • -by his daughter, Responsibility,
  • -and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;

  • – I Know My Rights
  • – I Want It Now
  • – Someone Else Is To Blame
  • – I’m A Victim
  • – In Trump I Trust

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. But those who knew him and mourn his passing are praying for his resurrection in November. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
