"The Truth Is Funny...?"

Well, the talking heads here in Detroit have been up in arms over all the "non-flattering" coverage of Detroit's bankruptcy filing in the national and international media.  But apparently this Taiwanese animation of the story is the straw that broke some people's camel's back.  I for one find it fairly accurate and mildly amusing.

I've been listening to the talking heads complain that no one is publishing photos of the resurgence of Dan Gilbert Land Downtown Detroit and the newly reclaimed renamed "Midtown" area, both of which have experienced large influxes of white suburbanites urban pioneers and their money and investment.  But the fact remains that most of Detroit's more than 100 square miles look more like Baghdad than Stockton, CA or any other bankrupt municipality anywhere else in America.

So, I call "Fair Game" on the Taiwanese.  I live here, and they more or less got it right...
