"Before There Was Brokeback..."

When I was a boy, in the innermost recesses of my mind, I fantasized that there was somehow something more than met the eye in the television shows I most enjoyed... I would imagine that there was "Love" in those relationships that seemed so much more than just depictions of "friendship."

This morning I was reminded of one of those programs from long ago...

"Alias Smith and Jones" starred Peter Duel and Ben Murphy as inseparable "friends" and fugitives from the law in the old west. In my mind, they were quite clearly a couple and they loved each other.

"A life lived in fear is a life half-lived..."
