"In Memoriam..."


Singer Bobby (Blue) Bland, who blended Southern blues and soul in songs such as “Turn on Your Love Light” and “Further on up the Road,” died Sunday at his home in Granada, Mississippi. He was 83.

Long considered one the foundations of the American Blues genre, his career spaned more than 6 decades.
