And on GLBT issues, both Romney and Ryan are severely conservative, threatening to take us backward on key civil rights gains. He voted against the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," and sponsored a constitutional amendment to ban marriage equality*.
Wrongheaded and wrong for America...

* He broke rank with the Republicans to support the Employee Non-Discrimination Act in 2007. He explained his reasoning for the vote in this way: "They [his gay friends] didn't roll out of bed one morning and choose to be gay. That's who they are."
